Security forces foils attempt to smuggle 215,000 narcotic pills

CAIRO – 2 November 2021: Egypt’s Security forces have foiled an attempt by a foreigner to smuggle 215,000 Captagon pills worth LE 7.5 million into the country via Nuweiba port.

According to the statement, the drugs were hidden inside a refrigerator truck.

All legal procedures were taken against the smuggler and his accomplice.

Last September, Security forces arrested dangerous drug dealers in Qalubiya and Sharqiya govornorates for possessing large quantities of drugs worth LE 10 million.

The security forces arrested two women from Sharqiya who possessed eight kilograms of heroin and three gold pieces.

They also arrested an unemployed person from Qalubiya governorate  who possessed 12 kilograms of heroin, two kilograms of cocaine, one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine, a machine gun and a number of bullets, LE 460,000, and three gold pieces.
