CAIRO – 2 November 2021: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghafa, who is now acting minister of health and population, announced Tuesday that Egypt will begin vaccinating children aged between 15 and 18 with Pfizer doses.

The minister added that the vaccination process of that age group will be announced in a few hours as Egypt already has available eight million doses of Pfizer vaccine.

Egypt had set November 15 as the deadline for university students to get vaccinated to not lose their access to campuses. Also, starting that date, unvaccinated citizens will get barred from entering public buildings offering various services.
