Egyptian president meets chiefs of state at COP26 in Glasgow

CAIRO – 1 November 2021: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi held conversations with a number of chiefs of state Monday on the sidelines of the summit meetings held within the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26).

 

According to the Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady, the president met with Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel; Qatar Emir Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani; Armenian counterpart Armen Sarkissian; Romanian President Klaus Iohannis; Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah; Lebanese Prime Minister Naguib Miqati; Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Ashteya; Libya Interim Prime Minister Abdel Hamid al-Dbeibah; and, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
