CAIRO – 27 October 2021: The Prime Minister of Djibouti, Abdel Qader Kamel, received the Egyptian Ambassador to Djibouti Ambassador Hossam El Din Reda, and congratulated him on assuming his position.

 

Djibouti PM pointed to the momentum witnessed in the bilateral relations between both countries in light of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s visit to Djibouti last May, which pushed forward various files of bilateral cooperation, atop of which is the construction of the Egyptian hospital and the construction of the land road linking between Djibouti and southern parts of the African country.

 

For his part, Ambassador Hossam El-Din Reda highlighted the great importance that Egypt attaches to relations with Djibouti, reviewing issues of cooperation between the two countries in various fields. He also noted the role of Al-Azhar in spreading the values ​​of moderation in Djibouti.

 

The Egyptian ambassador also stressed Egypt's openness to cooperation with Djibouti in the health, energy and communications sectors, which the Djiboutian government accords a special priority, which was appreciated and welcomed by the Djiboutian Prime Minister, stressing the special status that Egypt enjoys with the Djiboutian people.
