CAIRO – 25 October 2021: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Monday Israel's move of inviting tenders to build 1,300 units in West Bank settlements expressing concern over the country's intentions to expand the settlements' surface area.

The ministry warned that such acts would cause harm to the geographic connection of Palestinian territories, and gradually annihilate the two-state solution and the future of the Palestinian state.

Egypt also stressed the illegality and illegitimacy of settlements, and demanded the suspension of any unilateral acts that may be detrimental to the establishment of the Palestinian state and accomplishment of the peace process.
