CAIRO – 17 October 2021: First Lady Intissar al-Sisi posted on her social media accounts Sunday on the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

'On the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, I greet all Egyptian youths roaming rural villages from the North to the South to provide our people with a decent life. That day embodies a very precious human value, and reinforces the spirit of cooperation and community participation affirming the right of every human being to live a decent life. Egypt has steadily embarked in that direction to change the reality of 58 million humans across 4,584 villages," the first lady said.

October 17 was marked as the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty in 1992.
