Egypt sends condolences to families of earthquake victims in Pakistan

CAIRO- 8 October 2021: Egypt expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Pakistani people, government, and families of the victims who were killed in a  5.9 magnitude earthquake that hit  Balochistan on Thursday. 
 
The earthquake killed 15 people and injured more than 150 others. 
 
“The government and people of Egypt affirm their solidarity with the government and people of Pakistan in this painful affliction,” said Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed Hafez in a statement on Friday, wishing a speedy recovery for all the injured.
 
On 7 June 2020, Egypt condoled with Pakistan over the death of several people in a train collision.
 
A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry said that Egypt wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded, expressing solidarity with the people and government of Pakistan in this tragic incident.
 
Two express trains collided in southern Pakistan on Monday morning, killing at least 32 passengers and injuring 80 others.
