Egyptian president instructs improvement of artists' support, protection system

CAIRO – 19 September 2021: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi discussed with ministers Sunday the artists' support and protection system as well as the development of the National Social Insurance Authority.

                                                                                      

The meeting included Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, and the ministers of finance, public enterprise, and social solidarity.  

 

The president was briefed on the artists' support and protection system focused on the improvement of the pensions of members of artists' syndicates, and their inclusion in the healthcare system.  

 

The president also instructed the verification of the databases of artists, who work as freelancers, so they would be able to acquire the benefits of irregular workers, when needed.

 

Finally, the president followed up on the digitalization of the National Social Insurance Authority to ensure a better service for citizens.
