CAIRO - 8 September 2020: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi hailed on Wednesday the role played by Kuwait and its leadership in confronting the challenges facing the Arab nation.

The president's statements came during a meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al Sabah in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Kuwaiti Ambassador in Egypt Mohamed Al Zoweikh.

The president asserted to the Kuwaiti foreign minister the importance of boosting cooperation among the two countries, pointing out that the security of the Gulf is an inseparable part of Egypt's security.

The meeting also dealt with the conditions on Arab and regional arenas especially in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Afghanistan.

Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said the Kuwaiti foreign minister conveyed to the president the greetings of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawwaf al Ahmed al Jaber Al Sabah, hailing the depth of relations.

The Kuwaiti minister praised the leadership of Egypt under President Sisi to protect security and stability at the regional and international levels.

The president entrusted the Kuwaiti foreign minister with conveying his greetings to the Kuwaiti emir, expressing Egypt's keenness on developing cooperation between the two countries and their peoples.
