CAIRO, Aug 31 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli affirmed the historical Cairo restoration projects are very important and constantly followed up by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The government is keen on following up the implementation of the projects, Madbouli said, adding he asked consultants to kick-start setting up housing units in ruined areas and carrying out the restoration work of archaeological sites and buildings of value to preserve their civilizational splendor.

The premier's remarks came during a meeting on Tuesday to follow up the implementation of the restoration projects in historic Cairo.

Madbouli underlined the importance of quickly paying compensation to beneficiaries, calling for delivering the lands to the Engineering Authority immediately to carry out the overhaul projects.
