Egypt expresses condolences, solidarity with Congo after terrorist attack

CAIRO – 29 August 2021: Egypt expressed its sincere condolences to the government and people of the brotherly Democratic Republic of Congo and to the families of the innocent victims of the terrorist attack in the eastern province of Beni on Sunday.

The attack claimed the lives of 10 civilians. Egypt condemned the brutal attack and expressed solidarity with the government and people of DRC, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The militants looted homes and committed arson between Friday and Saturday, Reuters quoted local authorities in DRC as saying.
