Egyptian Tokyo 2020 champions awarded Order of Sports by president Sisi

CAIRO – 17 August 2021: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi awarded Tuesday Egyptian Olympic champions and their coaches the Order of Sports. The tier of the order was designated according to the type of medal they won in Tokyo 2020.

Karate Athlete and Gold Medal Winner in Tokyo 2020 Feryal Ashraf received top tier Order of Sports, while Modern Pentagram and Silver Medal Winner in Tokyo 2020 Ahmed Osama El Gendy got 2nd tier Order of Sports.

Each of the four other champions were awarded 3rd tier Order of Sports as they garnered Bronze Medals in Tokyo 2020. Those are Taekwondo athletes Hedaya Malak and Seif Eissa, Karate athlete Giana Farouk, and wrestling athlete Mohamed Ibrahim "Kesho."

Coaches of each of the honored athletes were awarded the same tiers of the Order of Sports as their respective trainees.
