CAIRO - 9 August 2021: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stressed Monday that the government is closely following up the implementation status of projects under way in the New Administrative Capital, as per to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives on that score.

Madbouli was speaking during a meeting to follow up the progress of the new capital projects, in the presence of the minster of housing, head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Maj. Gen. Ihab el Far, and a host of senior officials from the bodies concerned.

Briefing the premier on the completion rates in various projects, el Far said that the government district is now 96,2% complete, and electrical work had been done at all government buildings, the parliament premises and the building of the Administrative Control Authority.

As for external telecommunications networks, the district's northern and southern sectors have been supplied with micro-ducts, and cabin installations have been completed at the ministerial district, he added.

In addition, the natural gas main grid and interior finishes are now 100 per cent and 94 per cent complete, respectively; while the rainwater and sanitation networks have been completed by 98 per cent, noted the authority chief.
