CAIRO – 26 July 2021: South Sudan's Vice President James Wani Igga arrived in Cairo on Monday for an official three-day visit to Egypt, said the Egyptian cabinet in a statement.
 
Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli received James Wani Igga at the cabinet headquarters, where national anthems of Egypt and South Sudan were played.

The South Sudanese Vice-President chairs a high-level delegation that includes the ministers of foreign affairs and international cooperation, animal resources and fisheries, trade and industry, water resources and irrigation, as well as higher education, science and technology, besides a number of other senior officials, the cabinet statement said.

The South Sudanese delegation members and their Egyptian counterparts will hold the first session of the Egyptian-South Sudanese higher committee to discuss bilateral cooperation in several fields. The delegation’s visit would end by signing a number of cooperative memoranda of understanding.
