CAIRO – 22 July 2021: Elements of the Egyptian Navy rescued Wednesday the passengers of a Swiss sailing yacht after its stranding at the Red Sea's coral reefs.

 

The stranding precisely occurred in the Gulf of Aqaba's Tiran Strait. Aboard, there were four French nationals, two Swiss, one Spanish, one Danish, one English, and one Australian.

The passengers were fully cleared from the yacht, given humanitarian aid, and accompanied to an Egyptian seaport in preparation for their departure.
