CAIRO – 14 July 2021: Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki and his Serbian counterpart Nebojša Stefanović signed Tuesday a military cooperation protocol during the latter's visit to Egypt.

The foreign minister's program included co-chairing the 13th meeting of the Joint Egyptian-Serbian Committee for Military Cooperation.

The two sides conferred over matters of mutual interest within the framework of military cooperation, and experience transfer and exchange.

Minister Zaki expressed Egypt's eagerness to boost bilateral ties in the military and security sectors, while Stefanović, who is also the Serbian deputy prime minister, praised Egypt's influential and effective role on the regional and international scales, and in achieving security and stability in the Middle East.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior commanders at the Egyptian Armed Forces and the Serbian military attaché.
