EMA warns of direct exposure to sun as hot weather hits Egypt until Thursday

CAIRO – 26 June 2021:  Egypt’s General Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that the country is expected to witness a rise in temperature starting from Saturday until Thursday, and advised citizens to avoid direct exposure to the sun.

 

Over the coming week, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and Southern Sinai will feel hot weather during the day, while a gentle weather to prevail at night.

 

Winds are also expected to be active in some areas at intermittent periods, reducing the sense of high temperature and humidity.

 

The maximum temperature is expected to record 38 degrees Celsius in Cairo, 44 degrees Celsius in the south parts of the country, while the humidity will rise in the north of the country, with highs between 70: 90 percent and the smallest reaching 30 percent.
