90 Egyptians locked in illegal migration center in Libya freed

CAIRO – 21 June 2021: Head of the Diplomatic Mission to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, Ambassador Mohamed Tharwat Selim stated Monday that 90 Egyptians who have been locked in the illegal migration center in the city since June 18 got freed.

 

All of them belong to Al Qayat village located in Minya governorate in Upper Egypt.  

 

Selim noted that the freeing of the 90 individuals is the outcome of coordination between the embassy, which resumed operation in May, and Libyan authorities. In that regard, the ambassador thanked the Libyan Interior Minister, and Libyan officials.
