CAIRO – 9 June 2021: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority warned that the country will witness a heat wave on Wednesday and Thursday, where temperature degrees will climb hitting 38 degrees Celsius in Cairo.

 

The heat wave is expected to last until Monday.

 

During this period, hot weather will prevail during the day on the northern coasts; the weather will be very hot on Greater Cairo, while moderate at night in the north of the country.

 

The authority further expected the temperature degrees over the coming days, where Cairo will record highs of 37 °C on Thursday and 35 °C on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

 

The Northern Coasts will record highs of 30°C on Wednesday, 27°C on Thursday, 28°C on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

 

While the Southern Upper Egypt sees hot weather, which is typical in this area, recording highs of 41 on Saturday, and hitting 45°C as the highest during the next week.
