CAIRO – 9 June 2021: Compensations estimated at L.E. 75 million have been paid thus far to residents whose housing units were removed as part of the development works at Mostorod axis.

 

A total of 35 housing units were removed as part of the 16 km-Mostorod Axis plan that aims to solve traffic crises by connecting Mostorod area, Shobra-Benha Road, Ain Shams, Gesr el-Suez, Ring Road, Ibrahim el-Orabi Axis and Belbees Desert Road together.

 

The project is expected to cause a major breakthrough in traffic liquidity in this area.

 

Cairo governorate allocated L.E. 248 million in compensation for residents of 159 housing units in the pathway of the Mostorod Axis project that is currently under construction.

 

The Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces is the authority in charge of the implementation phase of the project.
