CAIRO – 9 June 2021: Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki, who is also the general commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces, departed to Jordan Wednesday to attend the ceremony held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Hashemite State.

The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Jordan's National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) signed in May an extension of a contract to supply natural gas.

The two companies also inked an appendix of another contract to expand the natural gas network in Jordan.

This comes on the sidelines of a visit paid by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla to Amman, where he held talks with his Jordanian counterpart Hala Zawati on means of boosting bilateral cooperation in the fields of oil, natural gas and mineral resources.

The two ministers agreed that the Egyptian petroleum sector would train Jordanian cadres in the areas of oil and natural gas.
