CAIRO – 2 June 2021: Egypt has passed the peak of the third COVID-19 wave, as the infection rate began to decrease by 20 percent, stated a member of the Scientific Committee to combat Coronavirus at the Ministry of Health Mohamed el-Nady.

In statements to DMC TV channel, El-Nady explained that the early concern about the situation “bore fruit, especially with this wave being more severe than the previous ones.”

El-Nady assured that there is no efficient treatment thus far for COVID-19; however there are some medications and protocols that help in recovery stage.

He further called on everyone to abide by precautionary measures and apply to get vaccinated to overcome the pandemic.

He also noted that the black fungus disease is not going to be an epidemic, because it does not transfer from a human to another, but rather from contaminated environment to humans.
