Korean minister visits Egypt to boost cooperation in defense industries

CAIRO – 31 May 2021: Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki met Sunday with the Korean Minister of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) Kang Eun-ho to discuss bolstering cooperation between the Armed Forces of both countries, particularly in the field of defense industries.

 

The Korean minister said his country looks forward to taking part in EDEX-2021, which will be held in December in Cairo.

 

The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid and a number of high-ranking commanders as well as the South Korean ambassador to Cairo.

 

The Korean minister and an accompanying delegation are holding a several-day visit to Egypt. On Friday, they convened with the Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi to examine opportunities of cooperation in military and civilian industries.
