Egypt witnesses decrease in temperature; Cairo records 30°C Saturday

CAIRO – 22 May 2021: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority expected that Saturday will witness a decrease in temperature as hot weather prevails over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and northern Upper Egypt.

 

As for the weather an night, nice weather prevails on Cairo, northern coasts, and moderate in southern Sinai and the southern parts of the country.

 

Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of the Weather Forecast Department at the General Authority of Meteorology, revealed that the country is witnessing wind activity in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai and North Upper Egypt at intermittent periods, and there are chances for light rain in areas of South Sinai.

 

As for the temperatures on Saturday:

Greater Cairo records highs of 30°C and Lows of 18°C

Alexandria records highs of 25°C and lows of 19°C

Matrouh records highs of 24°C  and Lows 17°C

Sohag records highs of 35°C  and Lows 24°C

Qena records highs of 37°C  and Lows 24°C

Aswan records highs of 39°C  and Lows of 26°C.
