Tahya Misr fund allocates account No. 037037 to receive donations for Gaza reconstruction

CAIRO – 18 May 2021: Egypt’s Sovereign Fund, Tahya Misr, announced, Tuesday allocating account No. (037037 - Reconstruction of Gaza) in all Egyptian banks, to receive financial contributions and donations to meet the living and medicinal needs of the Palestinian people and for the reconstruction of their country.

Tahya Misr also is preparing to send a humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza Strip, including more than 100 containers, under the slogan [We share for humanity].

Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed announced earlier that 65 tons of medicines and medical supplies were sent to Palestine to support the injured brothers in the Gaza Strip as the situation worsens amid continued Israeli bombings.

The ministry explained that the medical aid shipment includes surgical supplies for burns and plastic surgery in addition to operating supplies for internal and emergency departments, radiology and fracture supplies, in addition to oxygen holders, cylinders, ventilators, anesthesia devices, and oxygen cylinders and syringes.

Egypt announced on Monday allocating a total of 165 ambulances and 11 hospitals for the treatment of the Palestinians injured due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which claimed the lives of dozens of Palestinians.

Health Minister Hala Zayed reviewed with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly the state's plan to transfer and support the injured Palestinians coming from Gaza, amid the week-long aggression on the strip.

In a Cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Zayed said the ministry has allocated 165 ambulances to transfer the injured Palestinians, including 50 equipped with intensive care units and ventilators.
