CAIRO – 18 May 2021: First deputy of the Iraqi parliament’s speaker lauded Egypt’s supportive position of Palestinians and opening Rafah border crossing on Monday.

Iraqi lawmaker Hassan al-Kaabi met with Egyptian ambassador to Baghdad Hazem al-Shorbagy to praise Egypt’s official and popular stance in support of Palestinians.

He praised Egypt’s reception and treatment of wounded Palestinians and its significant role in resolving the situation. The parliamentarian called on all Arab countries to support the Palestinian cause until the Israeli occupation comes to an end.

Kaabi and Shorbagy also discussed economic ties between the two countries and enhancing trade.
