CAIRO – 22 April 2021: Long Live Egypt Fund continues to send convoys to provide food and pourtly to the most needy families in different governorates across the country, as part of “Abwab el-Kheir” or (Good-Deeds Doors) initiative.

 

The fund has sent convoys to Damietta governorate, carrying 72 tons of dry food and 8 tons of pourtly to be distributed to six thousand entitled families.

 

Executive Director of Long Live Egypt Fund Tamer Abdel Fattah said that Good-Deeds Doors initiative comes in implementation of directives of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to enhance social protection activities that the fund provides to the most vulnerable families during the holy month of Ramadan.

 

He further added that the initiative has delivered food items to 326 thousand families in 18 governorates so far, and will continue to distribute food until the number reaches 650 thousand families.

 

Abdel Fattah said that the initiative also provides Iftar meals (a meal to break the fast) in 16 governorates on a daily basis, including 1,500 Iftar meals in Greater Cairo.

 

The Good-Deeds Doors initiative has been launched in partnership between the fund and the Ministry of Solidarity, to guarantee the support reaches those who deserve it.
