CAIRO - 13 April 2020: Bahrain Ambassador in Cairo and Its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Hisham bin Mohamed Al-Jowder asserted that his country is fully backing all efforts, stances and decisions taken by Egypt to resolve the crisis of filling and operation of the Renaissance Dam and preserve the water and economic rights of the River Nile countries in accordance with international law.


In statements on Tuesday, Ambassador Jowder pointed out that King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa was among the top world leaders who voiced support for Egypt as he asserted in March during a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry the kingdom's solidarity with Egypt to guarantee its legitimate rights to the quota of the River Nile water.

He said the River Nile is a lifeline for the Egyptian people and a key factor of Egypt's national security.

The ambassador also asserted that the Bahraini cabinet in its weekly meeting, chaired by Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, voiced full solidarity with Egypt in protecting its water security and guarantee its stability and development.

He also voiced his country's appreciation for the historic and leading role played by Egypt in safeguarding the Arab national economy, maintain the Arab interests and enhance the pillars of peace, security in the region
