CAIRO – 28 September 2017: Is Cristiano Ronaldo going to clash with Real Madrid? The Portuguese player wants to raise the value of his contract with the Royal team.

Spanish newspaper “Marca” reported that Ronaldo wanted to receive a salary of €25 million ($29.3 million) to be on the same pay grade as Lionel Messi and Neymar.

The report, however, indicated that Ronaldo did not want to confront the management of his club, especially after its support last summer when he was accused of tax evasion.

Moreover, the report pointed out that the management of Real Madrid does not want to raise the value of Ronaldo's contract now, and the priority is to renew the contract of Sergio Ramos.

Last summer, Ronaldo was accused of tax evasion. The Portuguese player indicated his desire to leave the club in light of the event, but the support he received from his club management, especially from Real Madrid President Florentino Perez, encouraged him to stay.
